Christians have been reminded of their responsibility to pray for the peace of Nigeria which will encourage peaceful family and progress of our country Nigeria.
Presbiter Methodist Church Karmo Circuit, Very Reverend Daniel Ogbu pass these reminders to christians during the Church Child dedication and Baptism of little Master Maxwell Owen Christian, son of Mr Christian and Linda Odey of Ameka Obi LGA Benue state, at Christ Methodist Church Kado Abuja.

Very Rev. Ogbu reading from the Bible book of Jeremiah 29 verses 7 with the theme ” God’s peace and prosperity” maintained that peace is absolute Joy which allows anyone seeking for it to live in a state of happiness, prosperity, progress and advancements.
The Presbiter drew the example of the Israelites at the Babylonians kingdom, that God helped them and asked them to pray and work for the peace and advancement of the city of Babylon.
“God who knows the important of peace and asked his people then to pray for a city like Babylon, that means it is also expected that we pray for the peace of our beautiful Country Nigeria, with great men and women working for the progress of our various homes, communities, States and the Country”
“When we pray for peace of Nigeria, we are equally praying for peaceful home and a better environment as well as peaceful children and we ourselves too will live together as one despite our tribes”

“As human and citizens of this country Nigeria, we need everything to work well, but let’s not forget that our God has given our generation and the church that gift of his spirit to work for our peace, progress and salvation and praying for the advancement of our country too will make things work well for us”

He called on the parents of Little Master Maxwell Owen Christain and the congregants to always teach their children to live their lives in search of peace and progress.
“We thank God for this joy he brought to your home, let’s remember that there are challenges but as Christ soldiers God wants everything to work well for us and we must abide in Christ just like the apostles, pray and maintain peace in our children, homes, communities, and drive hardship and make away for prosperity to come in”.
While speaking at the event the father of Little Master Maxwell Owen Christian, Mr Christian Odey and wife Mrs Linda Odey expressed joy and prayed God bless each those seeking for the blessings of the womb and thanked those who came to share in their Joy.
Family members, Friends, and well wishers at the thanksgiving service asked God to shower his blessings on the young Maxwell Owen and his family.
