FG DECLARES OCTOBER 1 PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, October 1, 2025, a public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior indicates that the Minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulates Nigerians at home and abroad on the occasion.

He urges citizens to sustain the spirit of unity and resilience since independence, and to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Minister expresses confidence in Nigeria’s continued growth in peace, progress, and development, while wishing citizens a memorable Independence Day celebration.
